2025 MENS FIXTURES
UBRFC caters for a wide range of rugby-playing abilities, from the performance squad of our 1st and 2nd XVs, the development squad consisting of the 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th XVs. New for 25/26, we also have our prestigious Maroon XV - who will play keynote fixtures throughout the season.
There are so many ways to get involved playing rugby for UBRFC, no matter your experience or ability, with so many teams there will always be a space available for you.
1st XV
Performance

Competing in BUCS Premier South A, UBRFCS 1s are consistently pushing to compete in Super Rugby. Having won cups and league competitions over the past few years, we aim to further invest in resources, build our partnership with Bristol Bears and drive performance to the next level as we strive to achieve our goal of becoming a Top 10 University team. Alongside the BUCS competition, the 1st XV regularly play traditional Maroon Fixtures vs the Navy, Army and Oxford University amongst others.

Performance

Competing in Western Tier 1A, the 2XV are looking to emulate their recent highly successful season, in which they remained unbeaten at home and won the league. The team continue to provide a pathway that allows high-performing players to move into the 1st XV setup, whilst maintaining their own high standards with regards to match day performance, training and personal conduct.

Performance

Bristol Men's 3rd XV are currently in the Western League Tier 2, which is a competitive league playing against some of the strongest Universities in the West of England. The team is comprised of players who have just joined in their first year all the way up to more experienced UBRFC members who have been with the club for nearly 4 years. With training twice a week and BUCS games every Wednesday, it is a great team to continue your rugby career with.

Development

The UBRFC 4XV is no less competitive than any other side, as demonstrated by them narrowly missing out on promotion in previous seasons. A range of year groups are represented in the team, with some players going into their 4th year of being clubmen. Having created a fantastic team spirit, the 4ths are hopeful of securing promotion this time round. Up the 4s!
